Movies for recession

Why not spice up your recession with some great movies on themes of poverty and pennylessness. Two outstanding movies which I can remember right now are Cinderella Man and The Pursuit Of Happyness.

Cinderella Man is an amazing movie on the life of a heavyweight boxing champion James J Braddock in the backdrop of the great American recession of 1930.Its the story about rise of Braddock from an old loosing boxer to the hope and courage of the people of America. How a poor old boxer finally becomes a man with a magic wand is a treat to watch.

The Pursuit Of Happyness is another movie based on the biography of Chris Gardner. Its the story of a father and son duo and their fight against poverty.

Try Angela's Ashes: it's Irish, it's the saddest movie I've ever seen(with a drunken father despite his family struggling for survival). Excellent if you like movies that make you cry.
